Don't know if I would eat at Tetsuyas as one of the ladies I work with ended up with a severe case of food poisioning!!  Depends what your budget is, if you want really top Italian I would recommend a place by the name of Bon Recordo at Paddington, (check it out on the web site) it's very pricey but also extremely good, it's a consitution and has been there many years.  Me personally, I like No Names at the Friend in Hand hotel in Glebe, food is good, cheap, quick and hot (not sitting around in a bain marie for years) and my partner loves liver and is always happy when we eat there - give that a try, dollar wise, it's very reasonable, around $15 tops per course.

the sweet escapes is a really good one. best price and big portions. went there few years ago . check it out
