Question:

Best tactical light for an AR-15?

I'm finishing up my AR-15 build and looking for a good light to add to a picatinny rail or to the FAB Tactical Vertical foregrip T-grip I like a lot too which fits any 1" flashlight with a push button on/off switch. The problem is I find some sweet bright lights but the run time is like 1 hour. I have a nice bright LED light I keep in my car that's been running on the same batteries for MANY hours. So whats a good light with a decent run time? No Surefires .. so far I find they're overpriced and the bulbs seem to flood out at even short distances.

  1. My cousin has a streamlight mounted on the bottom of his dpms. Hes had no problems with it.

  2. I have a M-6 and a TLR-2. I like the TLR-2 the best. I highly recommend it. I keep the TLR-2 on the carbine in my cruiser and the M-6 on my Pistol. Someday I'll get a TLR-2 for my pistol, but the lasers are zeroed.

I have an E2D on my belt.

  3. I'm really happy with my Streamlight Scorpion, cheap($35 if i remember correctly), VERY powerful light, lightweight, mine is mounted on my Bushmaster, and I only use momentary on, so battery consumption isn't bad, I haven't  had to change the batteries yet, and I've had it for 3-4 months, lifetime warranty too, I got mine from Natchez Shooters Supply, really happy with their service and quick delivery too.

  4. Streamlight TLR-1

  5. I have a surefire E2D Defender.

    I like it.
