  1. The Angels are the best team, but my favorite team is the Brewers, because I've always lived in Wisconsin, and they have more young talent than any other team in baseball.

  2. It's the Angels. They have the best overall team. They have a weakness on the offensive side though and that's lacking a sufficient bat to protect Vlad. But otherwise that team is really solid.

And to stick up for the Rays, they are not terrible on the road, they are below .500 like a lot of teams but not by far. Regardless of whether they beat them at home or on the road they are 4-2 against the Angels. Overall record has them chasing the Angels by two in the loss column (dependent on what the Angels do tonight could be back to one). If the Rays were to have best record, be aware I said "IF", then they won't have to worry about winning on the road too much then because they will have 4 games at home and 3 on the road. They have demonstrated well enough they can sweep at home and win at least one in a series on the road.

  3. The NY Yankees.  Growing up in NY in the late 90's is probably the reason why I think so.  Today, I can say the same.  They are consistent every year and have been a contender for the past 13 seasons.  Everyone writes them off before the All Star break and then are surprised when they win the A.L. East or take the wild card.  I know they haven't won a W.S. and that is what counts, but I do not know of a team with the consistency they have year in and year out.  GO YANKEES

  4. Tampa Bay Rays

had the best record in baseball for a long time

one of the youngest teams in baseball

one of the best young pitching staffs

    the best defense

    the best rookie

    they are always clutch

they have swept the red sox TWICE and the angels

they had the hardest schedule in baseball, and still had the best record

9 shutouts recorded, which is 3rd

everyone overlooks them, expecting them to slump, but they havent

1st place in the AL East, the hardest division in baseball

    SWEPT the cubs

beat yankees and white sox series 3 games to 1

have given joe saunders 2 of his 3 losses

have given ervin santana a loss

have given andy pettite 2 losses

have given mariano rivera a loss

have thrown 2 1-hitters at least

they have a good prospect in david price

they have fans that support them all the way, even if they do not show up to the games

    THEY ARE ONE TEAM

  5. The KC Royals are my favorite team, not the best team by any means, but they are my team.  Born and raised in KC and I believe whole heartedly in rooting for your hometown team.  Gotta stick by 'em through all times thick and thin - it's more commitment than a marriage, there is no divorce in sports.

  6. THE NEW YORK YANKEES.

The reason: CAUSE THEY ARE THE NEW YORK YANKEES!! DUHH!!

Yankees '08 World Series Champions =).

  7. Well I go for the Cardinals. 10 world series' second behind Yankees. 17 playoff appearances. They have great players. A franchise that knows how to bring it. Also I live in Missouri (well closer to Kansas City than St. Louis) and most of the people around me are Cardinals fans.

  8. Sounds like a challenge, I'll give it a try:

REASONS WHY THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS ARE THE BEST

    - I typed it in all caps above so it must be true.

    - We have better young pitching than most teams. Greinke will be a legitimate star. Bannister has potential once he figures out his style (more GBs, more K's, banny). Hochevar could be next year's Fausto Carmona/Derek Lowe once he matures a bit. Gil Meche has great stuff and I think he's about to turn the corner to be an ace or solid #2. That's 4 solid starters - more than most teams can say. And we have several decent prospects or options for the 5th spot.

    - Joakim Soria is a straight up pimp. I would take him to close over any closer except Mo right now. His curveball is possibly the best offspeed pitch in baseball. Yahoo published a stat that 2 of 77 of his curveballs had been hit as line drives before the ASB. 2 of 77. 2 of 77. All hail the Mexicutioner (there are shirts to that effect).

    - We have some decent young hitting. David DeJesus has put up very solid numbers this year. Alex Gordon is still young but shows flashes of brilliance. Mark Teahen has been solid if unspectacular. John Buck is an underrated hitter (he had like 18HR last year) and calls a good game.

    - We're rebuilding the right way. Our FA signings (Guillen, Mahay, Meche/Grudzielanek last year) have generally worked out pretty well. All of those guys - except probably Guillen, he is a douche - are good clubhouse influences and can teach the kids a thing or two.

    - It's Trey Hillman's first year. He's had success wherever he goes: New York and Japan, so far. The players seem to respond to him. This bodes well for the future.

    - Dayton Moore's prospects that he drafted several years ago are finally starting to show up. He's undoing all of the failures of the Baird administration. Within a few years, Moore's prospects will be legit major league players and then we'll see where we are.

    - The division was strong last year but pretty weak this year. The Twins are doing it with smoke and mirrors and no-name players. The Tigers are underachieving. The White Sox can't pitch. The Indians can't hit. Nobody's gonna run away with the AL Central this time.

    - We have very VERY loyal fans. The Royals haven't had a winning season in over a decade. And still people show up to the games and cheer on their team, and people proudly wear Royals gear because this town does not give up on its team.

    - Our stadium is nice. There are fountains, tickets are cheap, and the view is good from literally everywhere, even the $8 seats. And the stadium is getting a big renovation soon.

    Thats all I got.

  9. Best team is probably the Angels. My favorite team has always been and always will be the Oakland A's. No matter how their season goes, I will always be one of their biggest fans. I've just grown up loving the A's! =]

  10. It's the angels.. They cant hit at ALL sumtimes.. but all they do is win win win.. Theyre the Best team in Baseball. They can Pitch and they have a solid Pen and Closer, and Hit  when they Need to. Theyre up by 9 i think in the West... It's the angels. Im a Yankee Fan and the angels are Like freegin Holy Water to my Yankees, we never beat them ... But Regardless, they are And have been the most consistent team in MLB from Game One to Now.

    Edit:

Oh!!  To Nisha above.. It would be Nice if The Rays could actually Win AWAY from their building , before you say theyre the best team in MLB

  11. Green Bay Packers, even without Farve, Arron Rogers will do just fine.
