I'm a big tennis player, and was just wondering what the best advice anyone has ever given you for any part of the game, mental or physical, singles or doubles, etc.

thanks!

  1. Hit the ball!!!!!

  2. The best tennis advice I have ever been given was: "Burn the basketball and pick up a tennis racket!!!" LOL

Seriously I would say the best advice was: "stop defending and start being more aggressive" when you are in a rally or simply hitting your shots!!!

  3. So many top contributors... but anyway the best tennis advice I ever got was from my doubles partner. He told me to shut up and focus.Lo and behold the impossible happened. We turned the match around and won. (Also some stuff from my coach about my form and serve...but you get the idea)

  4. The best advice I've ever received was just a tip on how i played.  He said i had good strokes, but I just wasn't aggressive enough, I would back off too much.  I tried being more aggressive and it worked.

  5. best advice is keep your eye on the ball

  6. Keep consistent

    stay focus

    move you feet

  7. The best advice I was ever given was without a doubt don't focus on each match, don't focus on each set, don't focus on each game, don't even focus on each point, Focus on EACH shot.

  8. Move your feet.  Keep your eyes on the ball until it hits the strings.  Never get frustrated when you made errors.  Concentrate on your own game and make adjustment as needed :)
