Best time of year to climb Stromboli, Italy?

No, I'm not planning on climbing it. Need to know for coursework.

Season or months will do. Or if you just know when NOT to go up it. Or weather conditions, or whatever! Anything will be useful! Thanks.

May or June. I've been in Stromboli for my honeymoon, and I'd say to you that at the end of June it's very hot yet. To climb Stromboli volcano, there are guide rangers of the C.A.I. (Club Alpino Italiano = Italian Alpine Club), they organize trips and climbing in security. The 'Eolie Island' are marvellous!!!

Can you climb it? Its still active. I've cruised past there a few times and it has been bubbling away...
