Okay me and my friends are deciding to go on a cruise most likely royal carribean and im trying to make the arrangements for next year so yeah im looking now. My sister told me of a travel agent that she knows and were gonna probably pay in installments but thats not what im asking. What im Asking is The royal carribean a good ship for 20 -22 year olds and what is the best time of the year to go next year? so we can meet other people our age because we dont want to spend so much $ and be there with old people. We were thinking of going in March because thats our spring break time. SO march a good month for young people dont wanna get stuck with families. hHahha we just wnat to party

  1. the best time for a 20 year old to go is after the 21st birthday for the obvious reason.

You'll always have families on the cruises.  Shorter cruises generally have younger crowds

  2. In October.

Close to the end of october.

It's the end of hurricane season, and it's just begining to get chillie in a most places of the united states.

so you'd most likely be happy to get some heat.

&& plus, kids will be in school so the majority of the people on the cruise would be adults.

    70% adults

30% kids maybe that'd be the outcome.

NEVER Take them in Summer/spring break/Christmas Break!!!

    KIDS KIDS KIDS!

Summer= kids out + Family Vacations

    Spring Break= Family Vacation

Christmas= Family Get together's + just a vacation from school for the kids so family goes on Vacation + it's cold in most places so it's good to get out somewhere where it's hotttt.

Deffiantly October because Most every kid that goes to school will be in school because school would just be starting up so like families wouldn't take their kids out of school the first couple months of starting a new grade.

So most Families wouldn't take a vacation that early into school.

though i have been on a cruise on carnival in October and one last year in December. And im taking one this year in 4 more days. [june 21] so i did notice there werent as much kids on the first cruise my family and i went on though there WERE* tons and Tons of kids on my last cruise and im hoping to see alot more on my next cruise in 4 days.

So we will see, though i know im right. :]

hope you find everything your looking for and God bless.

  3. I disagree with the above poster.  Obviously most 20-22 yr olds are in school.  So clearly they are most likely to go when school is out of session (Spring break and summer).  In March during your spring break or in May right after the colleges have gotten out but before the kids get out in June are great times to go.

As for old people, for the most part the more expensive cruise lines cater to an older crowd--especially Holland and Celebrity.  Due to price, Carnival and RC are going to have a younger crowd.  Where are you interested in going?  If you are taking a Western Caribbean, March would be a great time.  But if you are going on a shorter cruise to Bahamas, I'd recommend waiting to May when it will be warmer.

Get a newer ship.  The newer the ship the more updated the music!!  And a dead club is the worst.  Carnival is upgrading many of their ships and RC has just released a new one.   Go for one of those to get a younger crowd too.
