I was wondering what month was the best time to cruise Southern Carribean. I've only been on one cruise before and we had huge swells that made me very sea sick. Is there a better time of year?

  1. i think it would be best in fall and winter its so hot the rest of the time .

  2. Anytime except late summer into early Oct.

Try iBtraveling.com for some great cruise deals.  That's where I find deals for me.

  3. anytime! i just went on one last month, and it was a little cool leaving out from jacksonville, but the further we headed out, it was nice and warm..also, wait a month before, and they mark down, you can really get a good rate!

  4. Unfortunately rough seas can happen anytime of the year.  Cruising to the Southern Caribbean like Aruba or Bonaire and back can be tricky due to the location of the seas. Lots of open water can make for unpredictable sea. Weather of course can make a difference too, so I would avoid the Hurricane season (June to Late October/Early November) to try avoiding additional factors. If you go during the winter, it will help you to get away from the cold weather and avoid rougher seas.

I was just on the southern caribbean curise on the Crown Princess after Thanksgiving, and our return ride was a bit wavy for sure.  Even with stabilizers and balasts systems to control the humongous ships' movements, you will feel slight movements on the open sea.

If you are leaving from Florida, then the current between Florida and bahamas, coming out of the gulf of mexico to Atlantic ocean can be rocky, so be aware if you are taking a cruise out of Miami or Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale.

If you have medication for sea sickness, then I would definitely take it just in case.

    GOod luck and have fun
