Best time to find a deal at a bike shop?

As of this spring/summer I have fallen in love with everything bike. I commute and ride for fitness when I can, with hopes of working up to touring shape. Is there a season that typically is better to find a good deal on a bike, like the end of the summer or the middle of the winter. I'm trying to run the wheels off my B.S.O. (Schwinn) so I can tell my wife it's time to upgrade LOL.

i say fall/winter for the last stock before the new models come out,schwinn here,i wish i had my old raleigh,lighter then my pinky

Towards the fall/winter when the cycling season has ended, and the bike stores are all pushing to get rid of their old bikes to have space for new ones.

Prob'ly anytime after September.  That's when they usually have the price down sales, and the next year models are coming in.  Right before spring is good too.

Ask employees too for some of their bikes, you can get some good deals through them. ..
