Best time to spend a month in Europe?

The places I would ideally like to visit are England, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Germany. I have never been before and am wondering when the best time of year is to see these places. In terms of travel prices, number of tourists, weather, etc.

  1. Every 13th month of the year

  2. Spring, summer, or fall... or if you like cold, how about winter?  Summer will be the peak in the North (and the South), winter will be a bit of a peak in the South.

  3. Personally I enjoyed September through to October, it's not the complete cold of Winter yet but particularly in Germany it's nice cool clear weather with warm sun and doesn't rain much.  But because it's starting to get a little cooler, the crowds are starting to thin out a bit and the prices drop down some.  This to me was preferable to paying a lot less but freezing to death (I'm from Australia which is much warmer) or paying heaps and being swamped with other visitors.

  4. Definitely September/October is the best time in Europe. It's getting chilly in northern Europe, England, Ireland, France however seeing the autumn leaves fall is just beautiful. In Spain, Italy and Greece it's still reasonably warm however the crowds just aren't as large as during the popular summer months. I'm going back to Europe this October and spending time in England and Turkey which I'm hoping will be just as nice as the last times I travelled in October.

  5. Don't Roam- Stay Home! ( & Try next May... There's too much Uncertainty going on -to do any Traveling THIS Year...  :(  ).

  6. Late spring - May or June is the best time for central Europe. That's also the time when most things are happening.
