Question:

Best training for middle distance running?

I used to run cross country and hurdles back in high school but haven't run seriously since then, about 8 years ago. I have recently started getting in shape (about a month ago) and am looking towards middle distance. I am interested in running 1500m and 3000m semi competitively and am looking for the right training in order to start preparing. I am not really planning on really racing for at least 6 months in order to get trained properly. Any tips and advice would be great. By the way I am a 26 year old male, thanks!

  1. try thinking back to high school.  wht ever u did to train for xc is about wht u want to do know but do fewer long, slow runs and more 2-3 thousand meter runs at a quicker pace. also do a good core workout (like at the gym).

  2. Run miles everyday, while drinking lots of water.

Do moutain climbers, and crunches, and bycicles.

Ride your bike was fast as you can, and jog too.

Eat healthy, and lift weights. Swim everyday, and do lots of Cardio!

    Hope i helped
