Best type of bird to keep???

Question

I was thinking of getting a birdie!!! Are love birds okay??? they seem very friendly and cute...what do you suggest???

This is a hard question to answer without knowing a few things first.  How big do you want it, do you mind noise, do you have the time to devote to a bird, do you know how to properly care for the bird and if there are any avian vets in your area.  If you have done this research and you have come to the conclusion that the lovebird is for you, they are excellent birds.  They are very energetic, they always want to be with you, they are relatively quiet, and they are very pretty.

if you will allow some peaceful noise a pet canary i have they are not

much trouble just clean the cage 1 time every week and cover them at night.

Love birds can be nice, but if you buy a pair then they will bond to each other instead of you.  I have had a Budgie, Cockatiel, Indian Ringneck, and a Pineapple Conure.  All of those birds have been great pets.  The Conure has been the sweetest of them all.  There are so many good birds.  Go to a pet store and look at all the varieties.  Make sure you hold a few different species before you buy one.
