Personally I lb for lb...

1. B.J. Penn... Nobody has fought better competition overall than this man! hughes (2), GSP, Gomi, Machida,  Pulver... etc.. Even though he has lost some of those bouts he has been impressive even in loosses! He dominated Hughes the first round before injury, and He was Dominating GSP before he gassed out. Machida was a close fight and he was fat! and Machida is much bigger than him!!! The Man could probably go up to 185 lbs and fight Silva!!

2. Anderson Silva.. He has been dominant but his competition has also been weaker than Penn's...Franklin is a good to very good name but he is not borderline legend like Hughes, GSP, Gomi..etc.. Henderson was a VERY good win except that he has had history of not really being at his best when he has to cut weight..  always looks sluggish and that goes back to his Pride days..

3. GSP.. The guy has been on a tear! If he beats Fitch he may become the top guy.. Fitch has the tools to become champ.. Both Penn, and Anderson look head and shoulders better than anybody else in there division. Both look a bit more impressive than GSP..  at least to me!
