Best video camera for a low price?

Question

I want to record stuff and then hook up a video camera to my computer and put it on there does anybody know the best camera to do that and for a low price? I'd like to have one with long memory too.

Hitachi DZ-GX5020A is recommend by consumer reports for just digital dvd, you can pretty much do anything with it.
