  1. In my experience, the best VA by far is Slipstream Virtual Airlines.

It does not attempt to emulate a real-world counterpart, but instead has a realistic route network that mirrors a modern US legacy carrier.  With hubs in Atlanta, St. Louis, and Atlanta, Slipstream operates a predominantly Boeing fleet (717s, 737s, and 757s domestically, and 767s and a few newly acquired 747s on international routes) as well as Embraer ERJ-145s and E-170s on regional routes.

While Slipstream offers ACARS logging and flight tracking, hours may be accumulated offline and logged, or flown online with VATSIM, whichever suits the individual pilot.

I strongly suggest you check it out, and get to know some  of the great people over at SVA.

  2. US airways va. Their rules are so relaxed. There is competition throughout the airline, but not too much. You get free downloads of aircraft for your flight sim. I have joined over 20 different va's and no other virtual airline even comes close to USAVA.
