Question:

Best washing powder for lingerie?

I want to start hand washing all my new lovely (and expensive) lingerie, and I know to wash it in cool water, but I'm curious if there's a particular washing powder/liquid/whatever that's best for hand washing lingerie?

I actually wash my stockings with Pears soap and cold water, but I'm pretty sure that won't cut it for bras and knickers!

  1. Persil tablets are good.

  2. I use Palmolive or Dawn dishwashing liquid.

  3. sounds nice lol :p put in warm water and use a liquid

  4. Get a gentle handwash liquid like woolite.  Its better than any tablets and powder.

    Edit:

Just remembered Tesco's do a really good own brand handwash liquid, I used it on my daughter's christening gown and it came up lovely with a really nice smell.

  5. Hey Miz

The best and only way to wash good lingerie is in a lingerie bag with a specific soap, designed for the softer and delecate materials used.

this is the type of thing you want

If you have expensive quility pieces or cherished ones take care of them.

  6. Do you have woolite where you live? It's liquid but I always use it on my delicates and hand washings

  7. I honestly do not know ;)

  8. I cannot say enough good things about Forever New. It is extremely gentle on lace and extremely effective at restoring the elasticity of your bras.

  9. The best thing to wash it with is shampoo.
