I have a new xbox 360 laser coming tomorrow but theres a blob of anti-static solder that needs removing for it to work, only i dont have a solder sucker, but i do have a soldering iron, any chance of this solder blob just dropping off once i apply heat to it?

  1. Heat up your iron & wipe all solder off it with a damp sponge. The blob will be sucked on & stick to the iron.

  2. You need to buy roll of solder wick it will absorb the solder when you heat it. Place the solder wick on top of solder and heat .  I used to buy from Radio Shack it was about $2.00 roll

    Good Luck

  3. Put a piece of braided copper cable (like a piece of an extension cord)  on the solder and heat both up both.  The solder will be sucked into the braided cable.

  4. Heat up the solder blob, and while it is still liquidy, wipe it off with some kitchen roll or tissue.
