Best way to ask a girl out? Girl/Guy Answers Please?

I want to ask a girl out, but havent been able to. Its not so much fear of rejection, as i am pretty sure she likes me and will say yes, but i dont want to sound childish by saying "will you go out with me?" or "will you be my girlfriend?" because im 16 and she is 18 and i dont want her to think of me as a being younger if you know what i mean. Maybe asking her to be my girlfriend doesnt sound as childish but idk so any help would be greatly appreciated.

say; " I know we have been close for the past 2 months,and have been spending a lot of time together ,you know my feelings towards you, i do like you very much and hope you feel the same, I would like to ask you if you want to take things further, what do you think?"

or something along that lines, hope it goes well good luck =]

Ask her to go to dinner or a movie with you then at some point on the date, if it's going well, ask her if she considers the two of you  to be dating.

you could ask her to just hang out 1st. you dont want to immedately wanna be like, BE MY GIRLFRIEND!, cuz that does make you seem younger. go out a few dates 1st and then you do wat seems right.
