  1. A quality sharp razor, not a cheap one. Sensitive shave gel and a good moisturiser afterwards will help lessen the burn. And shave s-l-o-w-l-y.

  2. Use Johnson's Baby Oil instead of shaving cream & don't bare down so hard on the razor - just a gentle touch will work & don't get in such a big hurry.  Using Baby Oil instead of shaving cream or soap keeps skin soft & smooth & not dried out.  Also, the blades will last longer in the razor.  Soap & water make them dull quicker.  Use a good quality skin conditioning lotion or cream after shaving.  Neutrogena & also Aveeno for Men have sone very good products.

  3. You need to use a razor with three or more blades and shave slowly and if possible use an eletric trimmer to get as close down as possible. if you shave one day and wait 2 days or more to shave again it will hurt worst. AND DO NOT SHAVE UP.

  4. Shave with the grain. (Top to bottom)

I had the same problem until I realized I needed to do this.
