  1. Best thing to do is to check orbitz.com it compares many different airlines. However, do not book it thru Orbitz (they charge a fee), book it direct thru the airline website (ie, American or United's) or call that airline direct.

    When using Orbitz  http://www.orbitz.com/

you can have it check alternate dates and airports to see if there are lower fares.

Southwest airlines sometimes is cheaper (however they are not on orbitz) so also try http://southwest.com/

(Generally travelling Tuesday and Wed are the lower fare days, sometimes Saturdays. However, it just depends what fares are happening at the time you book)

  2. online is better, look for sites in google.

  3. If cheap air tickets is every thing you like then its always better to go for for the cheap consolidators' airfares rather than that of the airlines' own published airfares themselves.

I generally use http://www.onetravel.com to find out best airfare deals.

  4. on line is best way. got some tix the other day for a trip. used the Yahoo travel search engine and it was fine. got the times I wanted. but I did a short notice trip so paying a little more. Book as soon as possible, today. and you can save lots of $$ on the trip.

    Good luck

  5. ONLINE!!!

    Here's a site:

  6. Try Priceline.  Having your dates flexible by leaving a day early or later can make a huge difference.  Explore all your options and compare flights with airline websites.

Hope that helps and answers your question.

  7. Whatever you do, buy your tickets online at 12:01 am.

This is when the most and the cheapest tickets are available due to the airline's computer systems re posting available flights.

  8. For domestic type travel, I have always used Expedia.com. I tried some of the others but have always had the best results and best prices with Expedia. If your schedule is flexible, try to depart and return on the same day of the week, then try the rates for each day. In other words, start with departing and returning on a Tuesday, then do the same for a Wednesday and so on. you might also try departing on a Thursday and returning on a Monday or Tuesday. I tried this for flights to Hawaii and found that the cheapest flights in September leave and return on Thursdays. Sometimes the price is half of the other days. Good luck.
