I have a wii, a dvd player (capable of progressive scan), and a comcast cable box (capable of full HD), and a Sony HDTV. The TV has one HDMI, one Component, several S-Video and several composite video outputs. The cable box outputs all 4, the dvd player, all except HDMI, and I can get cables for the Wii for all but HDMI. What is the best way to connect these devices to the TV?

  1. The best way is hook up the cable box hdmi, and the other devices component and use a av switch.

  2. Are you using a separate home theater system for sound? If not buy an AV receiver with multiple hdmi connections, connect all of your devices to it and run a single hdmi cable to your TV.  Or you can buy a switcher as Scott suggested.  Although this could be your excuse for buying a surround system, LOL.
