Question:

Best way to cure/dry bamboo? Just cut it into 10 foot lengths and most of it is still green.?

Shoots are 2" to 4" in diameter.

  1. Patience. They must sit under the sun preferably standing and leaning against the wall and off the floor, they are wet/damp inside. Their surface is NOT as porous as a tree, so drying time is important. They will eventually turn a yellowish tan color. So...they need to cure. It's just like when you cut a tree, it takes time to dry.
