Best way to cut 6" dia hole in existing shower tiled ceiling?

Intend to add a shower light which the builder did not install at time of building 1 year old

  1. The best way to do this is to buy or borrow and rotozip or that type of tool. Be sure to use a tile bit in making this cut. Many of the models have a circle cutting attachment that makes cutting a circle pretty easy.

  2.   Taking down the tile in the area is an option but dangerous  since it probably rt on the dry wall and you ll rip it up.. If you know rt were the joist s are  and know where to cut use a small dry cut blade (usually a 4 inch blade).. Dusty and chips will fly but it can be done.. Wear goggles and dust mask.. Tape area to be cut  to help w/ the chipping edges. Just cut through the tile and use a key hole saw or utility knife to cut thru the dry wall in case theres any wires there GL
