  1. CLR is about the same price as a new plastic shower head....and it will not help the "pitted areas."

  2. If you don't want to remove the shower head, put the solution in a baggie and rubberband it around the shower head overnight or whatever.

  3. There is a product call CLR that you could use it will take that stuff off in a flash. If you take it off and poor this stuff though into a little bowl then just set it in the bowl for a few minutes it will come clean as clean could be.

  4. Purchase a small bottle of "CLR" from your hardware store.  (CLR = calcium lime and rust remover).  Follow the instructions on back for dilution ratios, and soak the shower head in a small bowl.

    Good luck!

  5. fastest, easiest and cheapest? All in one? What are the odds?

Vinegar, the white kind works great. Put some in a pot on the stove. Get it hot and soak the shower head for a while. Don't melt the shower head, vinegar does not have to boil for the acid to eat out the lime and calcium deposits. Rinse well, duh, and reinstall.

  6. CLR it
