the best over-all and least expensive way, is to paint.  pick two colors from inside the room.  like say you have blue and yellow.  paint the walls light, light yellow.  when dry, use either an old canvas rag or a feather duster and dab the other color, blue, but make sure it's very light, every which way all over.  start with the outside window wall to make sure you like the color and the amount of dabbing [more, or less]  you could also do just one or two walls or just the top half of the room.  the paint you get for the dabbing, dosen't have to be too much.  maybe a quart. pour a little into a pie tin so t that you have more control over the amount needed.  its a very creative way to decorate and have fun.
