Question:

Best way to emigrate to Australia?

After years of travelling Ive recently come to the conclusion that with all whats going on in the UK right now the grass is greener on the other side..So I have decided i would quite like to emigrate to Australia..or at least have the option of living there in the future..

Problem is, I already used my year long work visa about 4 years ago for Australia, as part of my around the world travel and although I am fairly intelligent and hard working, I do not have a degree or indeed a particular trade. Thus getting a 2nd work visa with intentions of staying in Australia would be very difficult. (you can only get a second if you have worked in certain agricultural parts of Australia and can prove that you worked ie fruit picking)

A friend of mine got a job in New Zealand, and has been there around 1 1/2 years now, he is already applying for residency and should have it within 6 months. I think this means once he is a resident of NZ he can also live and work in Australia.

Seeing as I can still use my 1 year NZ work visa & he has already told me he could get me a job working for the same company, would this be the best route for me? to gain NZ citizenship first then move to Australia?...i'm 27 in Feb just for the record...I know both countries make it alot harder for you to get a visa once you hit 30..

Can anyone who has had experience in this advise?

Thanks in advance!

  1. Best advice you can get is go to the EXPO's happening in the UK in October for both country's to see what your options are.

Immigration are there to help with any questions and help with filling out forms.

    See http://expo-australia.com and http://expo-newzealand.com

  2. Steal a loaf of bread and they'll send you there.

Or am I behind the times a bit.

    Either way - good luck.

  3. nothing is free theses days

you probably would have to pay the smugglers

    to get you into australia

and trust me its alott cheaper

to buy a ticket and go on the plane

the smugglers would charge you over $2000

    as for the visa part

    im really not sure

    cuz im only 15

but i do know the costs of it all

  4. Not sure if this still applies, but comitting some crimes used to get you sent there for free! I'm sure there is some catch though, you don't get anything for free really, do you?

  5. If you don't have an occupation that qualifies you for Australian skilled immigration, but have an avenue for staying in New Zealand, then yes, that will be the best (and probably only) way for you to come and live and work in Australia though the rights only apply to NZ citizens, not PRs. Of course, NZ's a great country in its own right. Chances are that you'll love it there and won't want to move to Oz at all!

  6. get yourself a kangaroo

and open a zoo in australia
