The guy I work for has a lawn made of solid clay, I was planting some bushes over there this past Friday and decided to take home some of it and see if I could filter out all the small rocks, grass, mulch, stuff like that.

I put it in a 5 gallon bucket of water to soften up, and then I was going to pass it through a metal screen filter I built real fast. But it makes it way to watery.

So how would be the best way to filter this natural clay?

  1. Let it dry, run it through a hammermill lightly, and then onto a shaking screen separator.
