Best way to find birth parents in Canada?

My sister (officially adopted at age 1 in Toronto Canada in 1972) needs to find her birth parents due to an urgent medical issue. What is the best way to do this in Canada? Any agencies or tips from anyone would be very welcome. Thanks.

  1. Contact the Ontario governments adoption disclosure registry. they are currently re-organization with new legislation, but they DO emergency medical searches.

    as well, contact the children's aid society she was adopted through, if it occurred thru a CAS.
