Best way to find stay-at-home moms for beta testers?

Any great ideas on how to go about finding beta testers for new infant learning software?

I suspect stay-at-home mom's might be the most interested, but open to other suggestions.

I have already thought of local churches, Mom groups and asking my friends/family. What unique ideas do you have?

Thanks.

  1. Im Home daycare providers!

  2. Try advertising in homeschool magazines.

  3. Since you are talking about infants, why not advertise to the new moms giving birth at the hospitals near you?  Rutgers University did this, and their program for doctoral studies in infant memory thrived.  They give out packets of information/advertisements/formula samples when the moms and newborns are discharged. You could put a flyer in there.

How about putting up an advertising flyer at the local library, Gymboree, Music Together or other baby 'class' ?

  4. Perhaps you can advertise the beta tester opportunity on online stay-at-home mom groups.  You can search through these groups and find members in your area.

  5. If you're looking for something local, I would suggest local MOPS groups (through churches), daycares (post a notice on their board or ask if you can put flyers at the desk), and homeschool groups.  If you're looking for something on the national level, there are many parenting and homeschooling magazines that you can put an ad in - many of them have a "classified" section that you can advertise in for around $25.

    Hope that helps!

  6. I stay at home, count me in..:)  just send me an email when you need me to participate... Thanks..

  7. Search on both "WHAM" and "work at home mom" and you will find a bunch of sites dedicated to mom's who work from home.

Among these you will probably find some who would be willing to help you connect with moms.

Consider advertising in parenting magazines if that fits your budget.

What incentive are you offering the moms for taking their time to beta test your product?
