  1. Rome has got two airports.

From Roma Fiumicino: train FR1 direction Orte or Fara Sabina to Roma Tuscolana; from Roma Tuscolana subway (metro A, direction Battistini) to station Barberini, next to via Veneto.

From Roma Ciampino: shuttle from the airport to subway station Anagnina (metro A); from Anagnina straight to station Barberini, next to Via Veneto.

  2. Hi i am from Rome anf from what i remember i think you can take a bus or train from the airport that takes you right into Rome ( termini station )once you re there you can take a cab or the subway    and considering that via Veneto is a very famous street everybody will tell you how to get there . have fun there  !!

  3. At the airport you have a very efficient service of shuttle trains (every 30 minutes), leading you to the main railway station in Rome (Roma Termini). From there you can take the subway (here you can find a detailed map http://www.metroroma.it/metroroma/HTML/E... line A direction Anagnina, and get off at Barberini station.

If your hotel is in the upper part of via Veneto (hotel Excelsior, etc.) it could be hard to carry your luggage through the long sloping road, so maybe it's better to catch a taxi from Roma Termini instead of the subway; it's not so far and wouldn't be expensive.
