  1. try Sky Europe, FlyNordic.com, Smartwings.net, Wizzair.com,Centralwings.com... totally cheap!

    happy travels...

  2. Here's what I would do:

Take the night train from Roma Tiburtina     at  22:50      ICN 774  InterCityNight Marco Polo to : Udine, arrive at  08:04  next am.

    Have breakfast

Depart  Udine  at 10:28 on  EC 32  EuroCity Allegro Stradivari towards

    Vienna(Wien) until you get to:

    Villach Hbf   at    12:02

Have lunch in Villach, Austria and take a stroll.  then depart from:

Villach Hbf   at   15:55  on   EC 213  EuroCity Mimara direction "Zagreb Glavni Kolod"

    Arrive in Ljubljana at 17:42

There are other night train options that get you to Ljubjana about 8:30 a.m. but require a change around 4:15 a.m.

Or you could leave Rome from

Roma Termini   at  10:50      ES 9470  EuroStar Italia to:

    Venezia Mestre, arrive at   15:06

    Change at

    Venezia Mestre    at     15:58   on

EC 61  EuroCity Casanova to: Ljubljana

    arrive in

    Ljubljana   at     19:32

  3. I went to Slovenia from Trieste in Italy ( or at least thats where I landed)...I took the train to Ljubljana from there.....well close by in montefalcone or something like that.

I know that people the train had come from Venice....so maybe options there.....take the train to venice and then onto ljubljana.......Train would be the best way if you can't get a flight there direct....or fly to Zargreb ( Croatia)and then train to Ljubljana maybe if thats possilbe. try the website below to help with options as it has many airlines in europe

  4. train
