Best way to get into accounting?

I have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and decided not to go into that field. I want to get into accounting and move up from there. What are my options?

If it helps at all, I have Supervisory experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry.

If you have experience as supervisor, then you should have budgeting experience, use your experience to help you with cost analysis jobs. You won't have a chance in financial accounting anyway.
