Best way to get rid of lingering armpit stink from clothing?

it sounds gross, but any recommendations? My shirts come out of the wash clean, but the armpits always have a lingering odour. I think the deodorant is partly causing the problem...

Hi. You may want to use a better detergent, but if not then simply spray the areas with a stain remover  afew minutes ahead of time. Also make sure you are using the proper amount of detergent. Good Luck.

Add 1/4 cup of bleach to wash water, let the washer fill before adding clothes, using some Washing Soda will also help. I swear by Arm & Hammer washing soda, I use half the laundry detergent suggested, plus 1/2 cup of washing soda..........saves money and your clothes are a lot cleaner.
