Best way to get rid of paint on plastic?

OK i just paint-modded my 360 controller and now it looks stupid so i want it off. Is any paint thinner gonna work?

  1. finger nail polish remover, non acetone

  3. what type of paint did you use? Tempera, house paint, oil paint, acrylic?

    Its probably easiest to let it dry completely and repaint it. If you really want to remove the paint, (and you used an oil-based paint) removing it could damage the plastic.

    Tempera= water

    House paint= paint thinner

    oil paint= turpentine

    acrylic= scrape it off with a sharp razor blade.
