Best way to get your speed of typing REALLY high?

Question

I do around 30 words per minute.

(1) What's the best way to double your speed?

(2) If I start practicing now, 1 hour a day, how fast do you think I'll be in 2 weeks??

I'll be going to college so I really want to type everything the teacher says!! That'd be cool if I could do that!

But really just to get homework done faster.

well the way increased my speed was just really alot of computer use, i also took a class in school that was about computers, but i dont really think it helped.

just take a book and type like  5 pages everyday

Getting pay for it, the boss will make you type ten times as fast.

While you're keyboarding, resist the urge to look at your hands.  Practice until you don't have to think about where the keys are, and then relax and let your fingets do the talking!  You've heard of "get in the zone"?  That's what you have to do.  Keep your eyes on the copy you're typing from, and get out of your own way mentally.

When to type tap the letters and numbers. Do not think of typing the word but only one letter at a time. I have found to keep my finger nails cut. Also there severl web sites that will help to increase your words per minute. It take time to develop the speed.
