Question:

Best way to glue polymer clay together?

I started making polymer clay charms. I did buy the special polymer glue that you bake with. I didn't use any glue and my clay isn't baked yet. I stored my charms for a few days in a zip lock bag and the pieces seem to stick together pretty good, I can't really get it off. If I bake it, will the pieces fall off? What is the best thing to do? I don't want to test it out and then have to start over.

  1. 1st what kind of clay are you using? I use premo and usually use liquid clay to make sure pieces join good, I also use Weldbond glue which works great for glue polymer to other items like a wood base etc before I cook it and it dries clear does not burn and will not come off. My best advice for small items is to not use Sculpey III, it breaks easily it the peice has small like detail areas. Go ahead and cook them and see how they do, if you try to take them apart to add glue you will probabky have to start all over. Another tip is any polymer clay  pieces can also be glued with super glue after cooked. Hope I have helped some! have a great day!
