I went to a local fast-food joint to pick up an order for my office, and couldn't. A local construction union is picketing... well, more of blocking the entrance to a drive-thru and parking lot. I know they're not technically supposed to impede business, but there they are, and not wanting to run them over, I went to another fast food place a few miles farther out.

  1. First it is an illegal picket line...

Second it illegal to impede traffic...

    It illegal to interrupt commerce.

You did exactly what they wanted you to do...

Go somewhere else to do business...

The Unions have screwed themselves...To Greedy...

They seem to have forgotten that, if the Company

    isn't making any money...they don't have jobs...

Look at what is happening with the Big Three Auto makers,

    and the Steel Plants...

  2. Anyone blocking your entrance or exit would be committing a crime and you can call the police to remove the "disorderly" individuals from your path.  If you feel threatened with bodily harm, I suggest you press on the horn then on the gas and disable or kill as many of them as necessary, purely in self defense, which is your right.  Do not stop until you have reached safety, as their "associates" may not subscribe to the same respect for the laws as the rest of us.

  3. I think you handled it just fine.
