Question:

Best way to lose just a little bit of weight?

I would like to lose 7-10 pounds replace it with muscle. Recently this summer Ive noticed i'm developing a little bit of a belly. I used to always be REALLY skinny and now I believe my metabolism has slowed down a tad bit and I want to get back to the way I was. I'm an 18 year old male.

Obviously exercise is the answer, but which ones are most effective?

I used to be 128lbs 5'8 and now i'm about 140-2 or so at 5'9.

My target weight is 135 or less. Please help.

  1. lift about 7 lbs and workout on resistance machines and try eating small healthy meals about 4 times a day.

  4. Swimming is a great way to loose weight and build muscle. Try to swim distances at a good speed/pace rather than moving slowly or floating to maximize the workout!

    You may also want to try consuming less fat and calories and consume more protein. Taking a multi-vitamin can help with health and metabolism :). Try to lay off sugar and drink plenty of water. Hope this helps!

I would recommend jump rope.  It's a great cardio workout, not only will you lose the fat but you will gain stamina, agility, better coordination, and balance.  Your lose the fat and gain muscle and is one of the highest fat-burning aerobic activities.  You can do it everyday starting slow at first and adding more and more time or more reps as you get use to it.  If you can't jump rope, don't let that stop you, just work on it and you will get better in no time.  It's completely beneficial, you should see results in at least two weeks.  Research it!  Also drink plenty of water and ditch the sodas!
