What are the best and cheapest way to move just one sofa to another town 15 mi away?

You can go on to craigslist.org and place an offer and see if anyone bights. If nothing happens then go to home depot and rent one of their trucks for like $20 and there you go all done! Hope that helps!

There must be someone around your neighborhood with a long bed pickup truck.  If not put an ad in the local classifieds, then let them make the offers until you get one that is satisfactory.

If you don't know any truck owners, than find an old guy with a truck. Offer him $10 to move a sofa 15 miles. Old people take pride in their trucks and often jump at an opportunity to help someone. You may have to talk with him a few minutes but if he likes you than you may get away not paying anything.
