  2. Hey,

I've had that problem many times!  Here's an article that has some tips for packing a suitcase.

    Hope that helps!

  3. If you don't mind the mixing of the type of clothes[I would xD.]

you can fold your tops & bottoms long ways so that the length will fit the suitcase.you can fold to form a stack or you can put two bottoms folded, one on top,one on bottom, and the tops on the sides.I've never done this before, but now it sounds interesting xD.

You can put your undergarments in the middle or if you have a zip under the top of the suitcase,in there. The middle can be saved if you need to put more clothes in it or extra stuff.

  4. First of all, try to underpack. Bring items that can be hand washed, that are lightweight, & can be air-dried (Tide has even come out w/ small packets for hand washing items--check the travel/sample section of stores).  Usually synthetics dry pretty fast.  Washing items can reduce the amount you have to bring. Also, bring neutral colored clothing & pieces that can be worn interchangeably.  Use the space inside your shoes--stuff socks into them.  Minimize the # of shoes you bring--wear ones that go with multiple outfits.

Fold your clothes in 1/2 or in 1/4 (preferable because it compacts the "logs" into shorter lengths) lengthwise & then roll tightly into logs.  Fold underwear so the crotch is at the top edge of the elastic waist band, then fold again (making it mostly rectangular), & roll.  Keep rolled items in place using rubber bands.  Roll socks (don't need to fold these in 1/2) from the toes to the cuff, then roll cuff down & over the "log" until the cuff edges easily touch (my sister showed me this during her Army days). I've rolled for years (I was inspired to roll my clothes like I do my sleeping bag), & manage to fit a lot in small space.  I even helped my friend on Monday w/ her packing & it made a huge difference!

  5. you need to roll up all your clothes it saves space even undies or boxers

  6. Carry just a bag small enough to fit in the carry on section, and go with that.  If you intend to shop while you are away enjoy the money you saved from taking on checked bags (now most start at $25, and increasing the more you check now) and use it for some new clothes where you're going.  It will help you prioritize and will save your back.
