Best way to remove a stripped s***w?

Question

My fiance has seemed to s***w a phillips head s***w into one of his frames too tight and he has to remove the s***w but it's stripped. It's a very tiny s***w, about half the size of a small earring.

What's the best way to remove the s***w? Without going out and buying anything fancy? Thanks!
