Best way to send packages to Mexico?

Question

What's the best and (if possible) cheapest way to send packages to mexico? I haven't sent anything because i've heard people say that sometimes once it crosses the border into mexico, the postal workers will dig through your mail and take stuff... is this true? Who's the best carrier as far as securtiy and quality of service?

I think it is FedEx you call call them to be sure, you might want to try UPS and DHL.

I don't think US Postal are opening package... but if you want a security of your package then go to the Carrier...

what i do is , i know a guy who is from mexico and he is been doing this bussines for quite a while and ,he has a truck and a trailer that he fills it with a lot a boxes every 15 days ,he starts in washington ,then richmond ,then n. carolina ,and the go to mexico ; i have sended boxes 3 times and every thing gets there safe (no glass of course) .But if you ask some mexicans at the latin store they may know some one who do that, i dont know where you are so i can`t tell you if you can use my guy.

As someone who has sent stuff before here are some tips:

It is true that mexican postal workers might look through your stuff so dont make your package too nice nice and "flashy". The thing with that issue is that they notice that the package has an american address which gives them a hint that there might be goodies in there....What we usually do is use my aunts address (who lives in Mexicali) as a return address and send it from there. American companies do send packages internationally...all you have to do is ask =D We use mexicali's DHL.
