Best way to speak better in french?

Question

Im 75 % French/ Tahitian and 25% Caucasion. I live in Tahiti and Hawaii.

I havent been to Tahiti in a year, and so I havent practiced french in a while. I remember all the basic and I understand it very well.

Whats the best way to practice? My parents are in Japan right now, so I cant practice with them. I have audio cds... and some workbooks..

any other ideas?

I suggest French language Radio and TV. Try radio online from Radio Canada International, France 2, TV5, or even the French language African News Service from BBC World. Also, Le Monde Diplomatique is a monthly paper available worldwide and represents a very prestigious journal of world affairs.

I'm french,and live in the US,i have learned english by watching talk shows on tv,because it's a discussion,and it was helping to construct phrases ans remembering them,try if you can to do the same in french,and some good talk show on the net on "France culture",good luck.

Find someone to talk to on Yahoo.

Search yahoo, and a french speaking country.

Like Yahoo France.

Then IM then.

There is this plug in, I think, that allows you to translate conversations.

I'm not so sure how accurate the translations would be, but you can try to talk to them with out it.

Or read their message, translate it your self, then translate it from the plugg in to see if you got it right.

I sometimes do that with my family, only in Spanish...
