My daughter is going into 7th grade in the fall and I am looking for ways to improve her math skills over the summer. She has a very hard time with math and barely passed 6th grade math. Can anyone tell me the best guides, books, online sites or CD's, basically anything that will strengthen her math skills??

  2. It is old fashion and a little boring, but flash cards work great. Get them for addition and mutiplication. It helps to know these basic facts and working on flash cards help her mind to call on them without thinking. She may be a visual learner. Try with fractions to show it to her. Cut up paper, a pie, pizza. Some kids do better when they can see and feel.

Check out your library and ask the librarian for help. Some of the larger book stores have a good "home school" section.

Play board games with her. Monopoly is a good one to understand money concepts.
