  1. well to get someone out of ur way its not tackling its called shedding the blocker. To that you should hold him up with ur arms locked then take a step and throw him to the side. You should do this in ur stance to maintain leverage.

  2. Well, if you tackle someone to get them out of your way then you'll be called for defensive holding and give the other team 10 yards.

If you want to tackle the runner like most linebackers do, you keep your head up and drive a shoulder pad into him.  Then wrap up his legs with your arms and keep driving until he's down or a whistle blows.

  3. thats 2 different jobs...one is tackling....which you do around the knees (best way)..the other is shoving a player out of your way so you can get to the ball carrier

  4. The best way to tackle someone is to do it right and wrap them up. don't look for the big hit when you do it right the big hit will happen. just lower your hips and wrap your arms around the other persons waist and drive them to the ground it works great.

  5. What ever it takes that doesn't take you out of the play. As a linebacker you must use your speed and moves around the lineman.  A helmet in the hip or knee is pretty effective.
