Question:

Best way to travel from Paris to Edinburgh in August? CDG or Beauvais airport?

I can fly direct from Beauvais to Glasgow, then bus or train it to Edinburgh. There are very few non-stop flights from Paris to Edinburgh, and the cost is high. My husband is nervous about taking the train under the channel, although I hear the train is fun (a bit pricey, though).

  1. If price is the problem, then you should definitely go for Beauvais-Tillé.  It's the synonym of parisian low-cost ... unlike Charles de Gaulle.

So, should you decide to go for Beauvais, there's a coach leaving from the Porte Maillot "Pershing Parking" 3 hours before the flight. The parking's kinda large, can't miss it. The ticket costs 13 euros and the driver will, most probably, ask for your plane ticket. Remember that every flight has its own bus, so once you get there, you might want to ask which is which ... otherwise you may get surprizes.

The choice is yours. Have a safe trip!

  2. Here the flight arrivals from Paris :

  3. Air France has direct flights from CDG to Edinburgh for around $200-$300 round trip. British Airways also has direct flights but are less expensive with a transfer in London. Flying out of CDG would probably be better. More carriers fly in and out of CDG than Beauvais, which means you will have more choices of flights.
