Best way to travel from Romania to Turkey to Greece?

My fiancee and I are traveling to Istanbul from Romania in late August. After a few days we will continue to the Turkish coast or directly to the Greek Islands. I really want to get to Santorini (aka Thira). We are confused about the cheapest way to do this. We have time, but are money is limited. We would appreciate any tips on cheap efficient travel!

Go on the internet and look up discount european airlines, it should give you a list and start checking prices. You can do pretty good if you reserve early.
