Best way to travel from San Luis Potosi to Guadalajara Mexico in RV?

We are heading out with the family and want to find the best and safest way to travel in our RV from San Luis Potosi to Guadalajara Mexico. We're thinking we need to get from San Luis Potosi to near Lagos de Morena to pick up 80D, but not sure if the smaller roads north of Lagos de Moreno there (like 80 north to Ojuelos de Jalisco & 70 to San Luis Potosi) are RV friendly.

If not, then we'll have to go a longer route. Any suggestions would be great!

I live near Lagos, I'm about 1 hour to San Luis; and I know the hgway 80.

But, I don't have idea of what is "RV"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The highway between Ojuelos and Lagos is narrow and bad, always with many big trailers and trucks. I don't like that way, my suggestion: go there in sunday, it is less crowded.

anyway, what other way? Not many choices. It is safe if you drive carefully and in sunday.

Well, there is another way. It takes one hour more (4 1/2 hours instead of 3 1/2). Going to Villa de Arriaga (Hw 70) there is a new highway to go to Silao, this is new, modern and safe (wider than the old Ojuelos - Lagos). It is your choice.
