Best way to travel in Europe?

I am going to Salamanca, Spain by the end of September and was interested in traveling to Madrid, Spain; Paris, France; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Berlin, Germany and Rome, Italy. What is the best way to travel to these locations?

Hi I study aborad in Roma and me and my friends travel every weekend. There is a really cheap airline called RyanAir itsn't not the nicest air line but you can get tickets a lot of the time under 30eur. Taking a train to these location will take many hours!!!! If you need any more help with Rome I can offer a lot and Berlin was so much fun you will love it!

Check out a guided tour. You might be able to do a 2 week tour and visit all those places without having to plan any of it!

You might want to fly take the train to Madrid and then fly to Paris because I'm not so sure taking the train to Paris from Madrid will be the most convenient. It will also take pretty long. Also, Paris-Madrid flights should be very cheap since they are both major cities and major destinations so they will for sure offer many direct flights.

Once you get out of Spain the train is the best way to travel because everything is close together and linked by rail. It is also way cheaper! You should probably look into buying a multi-country eurorail pass on http://www.eurail.com/. It'll probably save you some money.

For flying Paris-Madrid, check Iberia, they sometimes have good deals (it's Spain's national air carrier i think).

By train (unlimited train tickets to diff. european countries) would be the cheapest. However ryan air do have some cheap flights to some of this destination....
