Best way to travel to Caracas from Trinidad?

I would like to travel over Easter from Port of Spain to Caracas, and then push on to Colombia. What's the best way? Boat or fly to Caracas? Boat to mainland Venezuala, bus to Caracas? Then, what's the best way to get to Baranquilla? Gracias, amigas y amigos.
