  1. if you have to ask YAHOO how to use it maybe you just should'nt get one!!!!

  2. I always used tattoo goo. It works great. Made special for your tattoo. You can also get it from a tattoo parlor. I have heard A&D is good as well.

  3. Well for my tattoo it bled a lot so I would take some ointment and rub it on the tattoo and tape some gauze over top of it so it wouldn't get infected. If you have a scab on yours from bleeding, I suggest doing the ointments first then once it starts peeling switch over to non-scented lotion! Hope I helped!

  4. omg no. Use A&D if its healing, or aquaphor. If your in the moisturizing stage, use Lubriderm, or st. ives or something along those lines. Unscented.

  5. ok...no one listens to me but the best thing for a new tatt is vitamin E ointment.

I think people have become so use to using lotion they believe it's the best thing.

Vitamin E ointment is natural and prevents scabbing and it will not dry out.

Since I started using it I wont use anything else and the person that does my tatt's has started recommending it to his clients.

It's inexpensive and you can use it for most anything else. Sore muscles, small cuts and it heals naturally.

  6. icleaned it with dial antibiotic soap 2-3 times a day and then lots and lots of lotion.

i put lotion on it every timei thought about lotion, which was a lot because i kept the bottle with me everywhere i went...

i dind't use anything special and all of mine are freshly black.

  7. A and D ointment, the one in the white and yellow tube, NOT the Zinc one.

  8. Use fragrance free lotion that is going to let your skin breathe...that's what your tattoo needs to heal, oxygen.  Also keep it out of the sunlight and minimize the time it is in water.  Don't pick at it or pull the scabs off...just let it heal as naturally as possible.

  9. NO VASELINE!! thats the first thing my artists have said to me. Try A&D Ointment that is ok and it works. Vaseline will make the ink in your tattoo look faded. If thisi s your first tattoo, you should know that your tattoo area will itch and peal for a week but you should be fine as long as you steer clear of vaseline

  10. put baby lotion on it

  11. ewwwwwwwwww i would never get a tatoo, but i have never putting on lotion does anything to it.

  13. You want to wash it with warm water and a mild soap atleast twice a day if it's a fresh tattoo. As for lotions, you want to apply it atleast 3 times a day to keep the area moist and too keep the skin from drying out. You need to use a nonscented lotion. The best one for this would be either Curell or Lubridurm.

  14. no lotion, A&D ointment. that's what they gave me when i got my tattoo.

  15. i have 8 tattoos.

use polysporin cream (make sure it is CREAM and not the gel) on it, 3 times a day for 3 DAYS.

then use lubriderm (or any UNSCENTED lotion), 3 times a day for the following 3 WEEKS.

  16. Go to any drug store and purchase Betadine Plus....Good stuff.   I think its about 5-7 bucks.

  17. go to a tattoo parlor and get tattoo goo.

  18. The best way is not to have any tattoos :)

  19. I always use A & D ointment, although some of my friends use bag balm.

Ask your tattoo artist, it is there job to know.

  20. yes lol i do dude look a and d diaper ceam is the best 4 tatoos ive used it on every one of mine 4 5 years now and it has never faded bled or got irritated a+d all the way

  21. 8 tats by 4 different artists and all recommended the same thing (and it worked well, no fading!) wash with dial antibacterial soap an hour after having the tat done, dont cover, apply a thin layer of a&d ointment to keep moist. continue washing at least once a day and apply ointment as necessary for the first 3 days then switch to curel lotion. keep the tattoo moist so it doesnt dry out or scab and it doesnt itch. dont pick at it! dont go swimming and stay out of direct sun light. usually takes about 2 weeks to heal.

  22. You should lightly apply a&d ointment for the first three days 5-6 times a day. After that use a normal lotion to keep it moist for another 1-2 weeks. it should be done peeling and healed by then.

  23. a good antiseptic cream or diprobase is all you need till it's scabbing clears up
